 Arrow Civil Engineers Ltd takes a partnering approach to civil engineering work to facilitate achieving excellent value for money with no hassles.

 Tenders

 Arrow reviews documents as promptly as possible and submits queries on aspects of the work that requires clarification. This minimises latter disagreements and variations. As practical, Arrow obtains sub-contract prices from reliable contractors who have performed good quality work for Arrow in a timely manner.

 Tender tags are kept to the practical minimum; clarifications on tenders are provided as part of our submission.

 Queries on tenders are clarified promptly and an open book approach is taken to concerns re the price of any individual item.

 Contract Award

 When Arrow is awarded a contract we promptly:

1. provide all required contractual documentation
2. attend a preconstruction meeting to:
   1. finalise the programme with consideration of all stakeholder requirements
   2. initiate good working relationships with representatives of the client, engineer, and specialist advisors
   3. discuss communications and exchange contact details
   4. fully understand all stakeholder expectations
3. prepare required plans – quality, health & safety, environmental, noise, etc
4. order critical path materials
5. brief sub-contractors on the programme and get their buy in to timely performance

Contract Execution

Arrow works diligently to achieve high quality work efficiently and effectively in full conformance with the contract documents.

Health & Safety of all stakeholders is achieved and documented – records of inductions, tool box meetings, audits, incidents and accidents (if any) are produced.

Environmental protection is achieved through silt fences, settlement ponds, sucker trucks, stockpile covers, erosion protection, use of aborists and other measures.

Quality Control and Assurance is both achieved and documented. Daily job diaries are maintained; delivery dockets and supplier invoices are filed; continual inspections of work in progress are made and documented; all necessary testing is undertaken; and quality is regularly audited. Arrow aims to achieve a consistent high quality of work on every aspect of each job – regardless of client and/or engineer’s inspections.

 Contract Completion

Based on work by experienced personnel and reliable sub-contractors and excellent quality control and assurance, Arrow’s senior engineers are happy to provide Producer Statements relative to all work undertaken.

Clients and/or their representatives are invited to inspect the work with our contracts manager. Any minor defects are promptly attended to. Arrow aims to keep every client and undertake further work for them.
