Minor Safety Works, 2010
Based on a comprehensive evaluation process, Arrow are one of six companies contracted by Auckland City Council to tender minior safety and minor capital works (upto a value of $1 million). Through competitive tender Arrow were awarded 2 contracts: (a) Onehunga Walk & Cycleway; and (b) Construction Package 1002.
These jobs are benchmarked internationally relative to quality, health & safety, temporary traffic control, performance and client satisfaction.
Work includes drainage, kerb & channel, concrete foortpaths, pram crossings, roundabouts, milling, pavement construction, asphalt, line marking, special surfacing, street lighting, signage and pram crossings.
Heard Park Redevopment
Arrow won this prestigous $640,000 project by competitive tender. Key client and consultant personnel were:
- Auckland City Council - Hugh Hulse, Project Manager
- Isthmus, Landscape Architects - Grant Bailey
- T2 Engineers, Engineer’s Representative - Pravin Dayarama
Redevelopment included:
- Removal of old park features incuding paving, asphalt, walls, lawns, trees and gardens
- Extensive excavation, subsurface drainage, stormwater drainage electrical ducting, water supply and instalation of irrigation system
- Granite and Stonevue paving plus recycled brick strips
- Walls and steps includiing stainless steel handrails
- Street furniture incliding custom designed seating, litter bins, and benches
- Signage
- Playground equipment including a swing with a soft fall area
- Extensive lighting
- Planting of trees, shrubs, hedges and lawn
